The Troop Store and Package Store will be open until 1500 on Monday, 2 February.
On Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point will continue to operate under a Winter Storm Condition-Recovery status. The accumulated snowfall and cold temperatures continue to create hazardous travel conditions. Only designated essential personnel should report for work.
MCCS will be adjusting operating hours for Tuesday, 3 February as follows:
- Troop Store and Package Store will be open from 0800 - 2000.
- Administrative offices for non-essential personnel will be closed.
- CDCs and School Age Care will be closed.
- MCX Main Exchange, Package Store, Food, and Recreation activities will be closed.
- Library and Marine & Family Programs will be closed.
- Devil Dog Gym will continue to operate 24-hour access for Active Duty personnel, and the Marine Dome will remain on standby as a warming center.
- Essential personnel should reach out to their supervisors with any questions and continue to monitor the website, social media, and weather hotline for updates.

Use the Friends of Cherry Point membership to utilize the Sound of Freedom Golf Course. Friends of Cherry Point gives passholders one year of base access to the Sounds of Freedom Golf Course ONLY.
Procedure
1. Fill out and submit the SECNAV INST 5512-1 form below to the Review and Analysis Office either by mail, FAX, or in person (you do not need copies of vehicle registration, insurance, social security card, or driver’s license when submitting this form; those forms will be needed when you are asked to finalize process at Pass and ID). Digital signatures on SECNAV INST 5512-1 WILL NOT be accepted, question #28 and #29 must be wet-signature initialed, and question #30 must be wet-signature signed for this form to be accepted.

2. Once the SECNAV INST 5512-1 form is received by the Review and Analysis Office, the form will be reviewed for completion and then submitted to the Pass and ID Office for vetting. Applicants will receive a phone call from the Review and Analysis Office confirming the form has been received and delivered to the Pass and ID Office.
3. The Pass and ID Office will review the documentation, complete the background check, and approve the application with a signature. This process takes approximately 10 days.
4. You may then access the air station by stopping into the Pass and ID Office at the main gate and presenting them with your vehicle registration, vehicle insurance, driver’s license, and Social Security Card (or Verification letter from the Social Security Administration). Once those documents have been validated, you will be issued your base access pass. The duration of your access will be confirmed by Pass and ID, and you will be notified on the length of your permitted access at this time.
5. Please remember to keep your Base Access Pass on you at all times while aboard MCAS Cherry Point.
6. Congratulations, you are now a “Friend of Cherry Point!”
