One Step Ahead:  Internet Safety for Children and Youth

Stay one step ahead and join us for an informational session on internet safety for children and youth lead by Virginia Bureau of Criminal Investigations Special Agent Courtney Goode. She will address trends, common traps, internet crimes, prevention, and education. Attendees will receive tools and resources to combat the risks associated with internet and technology use.

Special Agent Courtney Goode has been with the Virginia State Police since 2012 and in 2019, transferred to the NOVA/DC Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. SA Goode has a passion for identifying those who prey on children and bringing perpetrators to justice. In addition to her casework, SA Goode conducts safety talks to raise awareness about child predators, encourage safe internet practices and empowers parents and children to take action when faced with suspicious or unwanted behavior online.
