The School Liaison Program is seeking volunteers to support the 2024 JROTC Devil Dog Challenge. Help challenge cadets from across the Southwest in a series of exciting fitness events on base.

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) will host the 2024 Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) Devil Dog Challenge on December 7, 2024, for invited JROTC programs throughout the Southwest region of the United States. This competition will challenge cadets in physical and cognitive events and will consist of a maximum of 16 teams competing in 5 different fitness events.

TASK(S)
Volunteers will be running various fitness challenges for high school JROTC cadets, assisting with score keeping, and motivating cadets to do their best.

PERKS
All volunteers will earn over 9 hours of community service and will receive a Letter of Appreciation (LOA) from the School Liaison Program.

Volunteers must contact the POC directly to sign up. POC will provide Letters of Appreciation (LOA) to volunteers who participate in the event. Volunteers are responsible for requesting an LOA and providing the POC with their name, rank, and email ddress upon registering to volunteer so that an LOA can be provided.

OTHER NOTES

  • There is a mandatory pre-event brief on Friday, December 6 at 5pm at MCMAP Pit beside the MCX24 on O'Neill.
  • Volunteers are expected to support the event for the event's duration. Please bring food and hydration.
  • Volunteers should be prepared to don PFT gear and utility uniform with boots. JROTC cadets will wear PFT uniform for the 5K run and utility uniforms with boots for the remaining fitness challenge events.
  • Sign up by December 2!
