SMP Days of Service 2026

Come out to volunteer during our annual Days of Service from 1 - 25 Apr 2026. Opportunities to participate are listed below. Click the links for details about the event and a registration page.  

Wednesday, 1 Apr

• Base Clean Up | 1730-1900
  o Check in at pavilion on barracks walkway (between 2nd LAAD and MACS 2) or at the Public House
  o Each Marine will be assigned to a cleaning section
  o Trash bags, gloves etc... will be provided
  o Closed-toed shoes and clothing that can get dirty
  o Free trail mix available in pavilion

Thursday, 2 Apr

     •  EFMP Egg Decorating | 1645-1930
         o At Public House
         o 5 volunteers Requested
         o Help kids decorate easter eggs
         o Help set up and tear down

​Saturday, 4 Apr

• Egg My Yard | 2000-0000
  o 12 volunteers requested
  o Assist with hiding eggs in yards of families who ordered eggs
  o Transportation provided from Public House

• Carteret Humane Society | 0730-1200
  o 10+ volunteers requested
  o Cleaning kennels, walking dogs etc.
  o Closed-toed shoes and clothing that can get dirty
  o Meet at Public House at 0730

Saturday, 11 Apr & Sunday, 12 Apr

• Eastern NC Renaissance Faire | 11-12 April
  o 30+ volunteers requested
  o Sign up for a 4-hour shift EACH day
  o Comfortable, closed-toed shoes
  o Receive free tickets, camping and t-shirt for participation
  o Required pre-registration
  o Transportation provided

Friday, 17 Apr

• Broad Creek MS Physical Fitness Event | 0645-1615

  o Help run stand, weed, plant etc.

          at 0830 or meet at location at 0900

  o Serve plates to the guests of the Havelock Pregnancy Center's Annual Banquet

     • Veterans Organic Garden | 0830-1400

        o Help with annual major project day, weed, paint, build etc.
        o Closed-toed shoes required
        o Transportation provided from Public House at 0830 or meet at location at 0900
