For Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026 - the Commanding Officer of Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point has issued an "All Clear", authorizing the installation to resume normal operations.
Air station and tenant commands will return to in-person operations, and several front-door services - including DEERS/RAPIDS, MCCS Cherry Point services and retail operations, the Commissary, Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point, and the Veterinary Clinic - will reopen on Thursday.
MCCS will be adjusting operating hours for Thursday, 5 February as follows:
- Child Development Centers will operate on adjusted hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Cherry Tree House will offer school-age care during this period.
- Parents are reminded to dress their children appropriately for winter conditions and ensure all children are picked up by 5 p.m.
- Troop Store Barber Shop will open at 0700 and MCX Barber Shop will open at 0800, resuming normal hours on Friday.
- All other MCCS Cherry Point services will resume regualar hours.
- Personnel should reach out to their supervisors with any questions and continue to monitor the website, social media, and weather hotline for updates.
