Tour de Flightline

Competitive Events is hosting the 2024 MCAS Iwakuni Tour de Flightline on Sunday, November 17! You will bike at the runway and along the roads of MCAS Iwakuni! The starting venue for this event is Penny Lake. Bonne Chance!

Open to SOFA, MLC/IHA, and JMSDF \| Ages 13 and older Local Nationals are not able to compete in the non-competitive race.

Race Expectations	Attendee’s Expected 30K Bike Time: Competitive only You are expected to be able to bike 11 km in 30 minutes.
Awards	Awards will be given to the top 3 for each age category as well as overall Male and Female! Award items coming soon!
Precautions	Must wear a helmet during the race. Brightly colored clothing is highly recommended. Please make sure that nothing does not fly/drop off during the race. There will be 90-degree turns during the race, so please ride the bike carefully and adjust your speed as needed. NO smart watches or phones are allowed to be used during this race.
Parking Informatioon	The designated parking area for this event is at Bldg 1010, IronWorks South Side Gym on all sides of the facility. There will be no parking space available at any Penny Lake field area. Parking on the side of the street along the Penny Lake fields is strictly prohibited. You must either bike or walk to get to the main venue area between Penny Lake Fields 1 and 2.

Noon	Race Start Non-Competitive starts 15 seconds after Competitive starts.
1:30 PM	Award Ceremony
1:45 PM	Vistors leave MCAS Iwakuni
2:30 PM	Event Conclusion
